It is said that the style of these in coming back, but for me it's never left, I had all my glasses in the 70's in this aviator style, and even thought they lookes a little more uptempo styled today, I still like the basic design. I've had some polarized sunglasses before, but these seem to be better and better fitting for me. I use prescription lens, not as powerfull a prescription as I used to since I had double cataract surgery a few years ago. I had them leave my eyes slightly nearsighted so I could read without glasses and work at the computer without them.One of the bad things about prescription lenses and frames is the styles change and currently it's hard to find large lenses like these, everything is smaller. I prefer glass, but I like these and it's getting harder to even get prescription glass made, plus I get auto tint, and I've not been able to get polarized in my prescription before because I like the glass type. I like it because it's easy to clean with even a rough towel won't damage it. These seem durable, but apparently you still need to be careful, it cautions against sea water, so salt or brine may damage them.I tried them out reading on my covered porch with the sun out, and they were really nice. I wish I could get the same in my prescription for driving and such, but I'll have to stick with clip-on types for that, but I do like these, comfortable, not over priced, and filter glare and brightness down to manageble levels to read with in daylight. I like them. Recommended.
